Senior Paraplanner – Edinburgh (Leadership & Development)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a client‑focused financial planning firm in Edinburgh. The role combines technical paraplanning work with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior team members and driving best practice across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Produce compliant suitability reports for complex client cases.
• Research and analyse pensions, investments, protection and tax planning solutions.
• Support advisers in delivering high‑quality financial plans.
• Mentor and develop junior Paraplanners, sharing technical knowledge.
• Contribute to process improvements and key business projects.

Required profile

• Significant paraplanning experience within financial services.
• Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) – essential.
• Chartered status or progress towards it – desirable.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Experience coaching or supporting junior colleagues.
