Senior Paraplanner – Financial Planning Analyst

About the role

We are supporting an established independent wealth management firm in Leeds to hire a Senior Paraplanner. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will provide technical expertise across the firm’s financial‑planning activities, producing compliant reports, conducting detailed research and supporting advisers with complex client cases.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate suitability reports within agreed timescales.
• Conduct technical research on financial‑planning products and solutions.
• Prepare client portfolio reviews and detailed cash‑flow models.
• Respond to technical queries from advisers and clients.
• Support complex pensions, investments and broader financial‑planning cases.
• Maintain and update preferred provider panels and advisory tools.
• Ensure all advice documentation meets regulatory and internal compliance standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience as a Paraplanner or comparable technical financial‑services role.
• Comprehensive experience dealing with pensions.
• Strong knowledge of investments, retirement planning and wider financial‑planning solutions.
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent) and relevant pension‑planning exams.
• Commitment to progress towards CII Advanced Diploma and Chartered Financial Planner status.
