Senior Paraplanner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join a respected financial planning firm in Edinburgh. Working on a hybrid model, you will support advisers in delivering tailored financial solutions and ensure a high‑quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality suitability reports aligned with client objectives.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and develop cash‑flow planning models.
• Research and recommend investment, pension, protection, and tax planning solutions.
• Prepare financial planning reports, recommendation letters, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate client files and back‑office systems throughout the advice process.
• Generate annual review documentation, investment performance reports, and updated cash‑flow models.
• Collaborate with advisers and administrators to process new business efficiently.
• Liaise directly with clients, attend meetings when appropriate, and support ongoing servicing.
• Build relationships with solicitors, accountants, and other professional contacts.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of report templates, technical standards, and paraplanning processes.

Required profile

• Level 4 qualified Paraplanner with several years of experience.
• Strong understanding of investment, retirement, tax, and estate planning.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to manage client files independently and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Proactive approach to professional development and industry updates.
