Senior Paraplanner

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Paraplanner to join our fast‑growing wealth management team in Exeter. Working in a hybrid model, you will partner closely with financial advisers to drive new business generation and deliver comprehensive service to high‑net‑worth clients.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and assess client financial circumstances, gathering external data to produce detailed reviews.
• Formulate strategic proposals, draft suitability reports and build cash‑flow models to illustrate complex scenarios.
• Perform technical calculations such as pension annual allowance/carry‑forward, Capital Gains Tax and lifetime allowance options.
• Build compliant advice files, update back‑office recording systems and pre‑populate application forms.
• Liaise with support staff, mentor junior team members and improve workflow processes.
• Attend client meetings alongside advisers when required to support complex fact‑finding.

Required profile

• Strong background handling high‑risk, high‑value or highly technical advice cases.
• Deep working knowledge of financial research software and diverse provider systems.
• Excellent communication skills to organise interactions with advisers, management and support teams.
• Proactive, collaborative attitude with the ability to manage complex client cases smoothly.
