Senior Paraplanner – Wealth Planning

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join our wealth planning team in Edinburgh. You will research and write advice reports, support team training, and maintain paraplanning tools and reference material while working in a competitive hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft suitability reports with guidance from Financial Planners, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and departmental standards.
• Liaise with Financial Planners to gather complete and accurate client information for advice preparation.
• Interpret adviser‑client meetings and prepare suitable recommendations with high accuracy.
• Provide guidance to advisers on specific cases to support positive consumer outcomes.
• Uphold the Group’s customer experience standards and ensure Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is maintained.
• Maintain data quality by following research, client support, compliance, and system processes.
• Update workflow records to produce accurate management information promptly.
• Manage workloads, deputise during absences, and deliver coaching, mentoring, or training support to the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in paraplanning within wealth management or financial planning.
• Strong understanding of compliance requirements and TCF principles.
• Ability to produce high‑quality suitability reports and recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and data‑quality focus.
• Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members.
