Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant

About the role

We are partnering with a leading pensions consultancy to hire a Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant. This senior consulting position will support the firm’s growth in the defined benefit (DB) pensions market and involve direct client interaction and strategic project leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead actuarial workstreams for trustee and corporate clients.
• Review complex technical calculations and provide client advice.
• Take ownership of projects and deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Present directly to clients and represent the firm at industry events.
• Support and develop junior actuarial colleagues.
• Build long‑term client relationships and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• Qualified actuary with UK pensions consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of actuarial valuations, pensions accounting and DB pensions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven experience managing projects and reviewing technical work.
• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management abilities.
