Senior People Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior People Advisor to join our growing People team in Surrey. This is a green‑field opportunity where you will shape HR processes, support a unionised workforce and drive positive employee relations across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a high‑volume Employee Relations caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.
• Partner with managers to deliver commercially‑focused HR advice and support.
• Work closely with the People Business Partner to provide an exceptional people service.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation.
• Identify and implement improvements to HR policies, processes and ways of working.
• Support wider People initiatives and projects as the function evolves.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior HR Advisor or People Advisor in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex Employee Relations issues, preferably within a unionised setting.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
