Senior Philanthropy Manager

About the role

This senior role sits within a growing global philanthropy team at an ambitious international animal‑welfare charity. You will own a well‑established mid‑level giving programme, driving income growth and expanding donor engagement across key markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and growth of the mid‑level giving programme, securing gifts of £1,000‑£10,000 and meeting ambitious income targets.
• Design and implement mid‑level giving strategies for the UK, US and priority European markets.
• Build, manage and steward relationships with donors, delivering exceptional experiences that increase retention and lifetime value.
• Develop targeted acquisition strategies to grow the mid‑level pipeline and identify future major donor prospects.
• Produce stewardship communications such as donor updates, e‑newsletters and impact reports.
• Collaborate with Individual Giving, CRM, Digital and Brand teams to deliver integrated donor journeys and campaigns.
• Use Salesforce and data insights to monitor performance, analyse donor behaviour and inform strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mid‑level giving, major donor or other high‑value fundraising roles.
• Demonstrable success in growing fundraising income through strategic donor development and stewardship.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with a track record of retaining and upselling donors.
• Ability to work collaboratively across international teams and influence fundraising strategy.
