Senior Planning & Assurance Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Planning & Assurance Analyst to join a leading university in London on a 15‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will be based in East London with a hybrid working pattern, supporting statutory assurance, league‑table submissions and performance monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an assurance framework for HESA statutory returns.
• Coordinate data submission to national and international league tables, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Analyse league‑table metrics to inform strategic initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to automate data processes.
• Produce dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights to senior management and committees.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of higher‑education statutory returns and their use in compliance and reputation.
• Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence and dashboard creation.
• Excellent numeracy and ability to model large, complex datasets.
• Effective communication skills for presenting analytical findings to senior audiences.
