Senior Planning Manager

About the role

Rolls‑Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Planning Manager to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive project plans for a cutting‑edge power‑station design. Reporting to the Head of Planning within the PMO, you will ensure that all scope elements are captured, resourced and aligned with business and customer objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of a schedule that meets all contractual and business requirements.
• Integrate sub‑contract packages and validate dependencies, milestones and critical paths.
• Support the PMO in maintaining scheduling standards and governance frameworks.
• Coordinate with lead planners, project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to keep dependency and critical‑path data accurate.
• Prepare and present high‑level project status reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and industry standards.
• Provide training and support on scheduling best practices and tools.
• Facilitate integration of schedule with cost for Earned Value Analysis and other performance metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior planning or project controls roles within large‑scale engineering projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a planning team.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
