Senior Plant Operations Technician

About the role

A fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established process manufacturing operation that converts waste into sustainable energy. Based at a flagship plant in Kent, you will support safe, efficient and compliant plant operations within a dynamic, hands‑on team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
• Coordinate contractor activities and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.
• Supervise and support operational teams across the facility.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment via the Distributed Control System (DCS) and on‑site controls.
• Assist with plant isolations and support maintenance activities.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental performance.
• Participate in incident investigations, audits and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in heavy industrial, process manufacturing, power generation, waste management, chemical or utilities environments.
• Proven experience supervising or coordinating operational teams and contractors.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work hands‑on and support day‑to‑day plant activities.
