Senior Pricing Analyst – Reinsurance

About the role

The Senior Pricing Analyst will join Chaucer’s Reinsurance Pricing team, supporting the Property, Specialty, Casualty Treaty and Cyber portfolios across London and international offices. You will work closely with divisional actuaries and underwriting teams to develop and maintain pricing models, provide case‑by‑case pricing support, and contribute to portfolio insight tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support account pricing and broker negotiations, providing underwriter assistance.
• Design, build and enhance Excel‑based pricing models and analytics aligned with actuarial frameworks.
• Collaborate with underwriters, pricing team and management throughout the planning and development process.
• Research and implement new modelling techniques, improve data quality and operational efficiency.
• Develop strong relationships with underwriting and catastrophe modelling teams to share best practices.
• Document new models, deliver training and present findings to business stakeholders.
• Assist with other pricing team activities as required.
• Commit to IFoA exams and progress toward FIA qualification.

Required profile

• London market pricing experience, preferably in reinsurance.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a logical, methodical approach to problem solving.
• High attention to detail, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Organised, able to plan work to meet deadlines and collaborate across teams.
• Part‑qualified actuary making good progress through IFoA exams or equivalent.
• 2.1 or first‑class degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or a related numeric discipline.
