Senior Principal Biostatistician

About the role

Novartis is looking for a Senior Principal Biostatistician to join its Neuroscience team within Advanced Quantitative Sciences in London, UK. You will lead the implementation of modern and innovative trial and experimental designs, statistical models, analysis and data exploration methods at the study level, and be responsible for all statistical work, scientific and operational, in collaboration with clinical trial teams and other quantitative partners. Relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Own all statistical tasks on the assigned trials
• Develop protocols in line with the development plan, including statistical analysis plans and reporting activities
• Contribute to planning and running exploratory analyses and statistical consultations within cross-functional teams
• Initiate, drive and implement novel methods and innovative trial designs in line with the Lead Statistician
• Work with clinical, regulatory and other strategic functions to support quantitative decision making in assigned indications and programmes
• Collaborate with data management, programming and medical writing to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables
• Engage externally with consultants, advisory boards, health authorities, congresses and scientific meetings

Required profile

• PhD preferred, or MS with extensive experience
• Fluent English, oral and written
• Strong communication and presentation skills
