Senior Private Client Solicitor – Partner Designate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join our Reading office, with a clear, supported pathway to partnership. The successful candidate will advise high‑net‑worth individuals and families on a full range of private client matters while taking on leadership responsibilities within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on wills, estate planning, trusts, inheritance tax and probate matters.
• Handle lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and mental capacity issues.
• Mentor and supervise junior solicitors and trainees.
• Contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support the strategic growth of the Private Client department.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience in private client law.
• Proven expertise in complex estates, trusts and tax planning.
• Experience managing high‑value probate and succession matters.
• Strong client‑care and relationship management skills.
• Desire to progress to partnership.
