Senior Product Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, results‑driven Senior Product Development Manager to lead the end‑to‑end creation of innovative beauty products. You will collaborate across design, supply chain and sales to ensure each product meets market demands, retailer expectations and brand positioning within aggressive timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a rolling pipeline of product timelines, ensuring critical path goals are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
• Lead and develop the product development team, driving ownership of targets, commercial metrics and rapid time‑to‑market.
• Provide strategic problem‑solving and practical solutions to enhance operational efficiency across product road‑maps.
• Oversee sourcing for products and packaging, including formulation, components and artwork, ensuring cost‑effective delivery.
• Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), conduct COGS analysis and ensure consistency in Master Product Information.
• Implement dual‑sourcing and fast‑track strategies for high‑pace beauty projects.
• Support regulatory documentation for EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring full compliance.
• Create, document and continuously improve departmental processes, training teams accordingly.
• Build a high‑performing product operations team in the UK, embedding industry best practices.
• Lead sustainability initiatives (“Green PD”) to reduce environmental impact and carbon footprint.
• Review and enhance pre‑ and post‑production quality control processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in INCI reviews, packaging optimization and composition evaluation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of product development experience in skincare or colour cosmetics.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
• Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment with shifting priorities.
