Senior Product Development Specialist – Complex Assets

About the role

Citi is seeking a Senior Product Development Specialist to join its Complex Assets team within Investor Services at the EMEA headquarters in London. In this high‑impact individual contributor role you will act as the recognised technical authority, driving the end‑to‑end product development lifecycle for sophisticated financial instruments such as OTC derivatives, exchange‑traded derivatives and portfolio swaps.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full product development lifecycle for Complex Assets, from scoping releases to tracking delivery against business priorities.
• Gather client insights, market analysis and internal ideas to create new product concepts, features and functionality.
• Coordinate design and delivery of product features, serving as the product ambassador and primary technical contact for users.
• Identify and implement solutions across data analytics, reporting, trade workflows and processing to meet client and business needs.
• Produce project plans, business analysis documentation and technical specifications to ensure structured execution.
• Collaborate with sales, business managers and technology teams to align product roadmap with strategic goals and industry trends.
• Conduct controls and governance activities, including security reviews, access approvals and compliance testing.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in Complex Assets or derivatives within product development, technology or business analysis.
• Deep technical understanding of multi‑asset class OTC derivatives and their lifecycle from a systems perspective.
• Proven ability to deliver cross‑functional product initiatives and influence stakeholders.
