Senior Product Engineer

About the role

Plain is redefining customer support for the next generation of B2B companies, building a fast, AI‑powered platform that unifies all customer interactions. This senior product engineer position is hybrid, with three days a week in our London office, and offers the chance to shape both product direction and technical architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Help set product direction by contributing to technical architecture and roadmap, balancing customer feedback with long‑term health.
• Ship features end‑to‑end, from scoping and building to launching solutions that directly solve customer problems.
• Shape backend architecture, tackling complex data‑modeling and high‑performance reporting challenges.
• Create a stellar developer experience by building robust data pipelines, APIs, and tooling for the engineering team.

Required profile

• Thrives in early ideation stages, enjoys sharing work‑in‑progress and making trade‑offs to ship high‑impact products.
• Impact‑driven, measuring success by the end‑experience of users rather than code abstractions.
• Proven track record at product‑led B2B SaaS companies and comfortable working autonomously.
• Experienced with distributed, serverless systems and high‑quality web applications.
