Senior Project Manager – Hotel Refurbishment & Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Director to lead high‑value hotel refurbishment and capital projects for a fast‑growing international lifestyle hospitality brand. Reporting to the Head of Construction, you will own projects from feasibility and concept design through to construction, handover and operational launch across the UK and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple hotel refurbishment and new‑build projects, managing feasibility, design, procurement, construction and defect remediation.
• Control project budgets, programmes, risk registers and financial reporting.
• Appoint and manage architects, designers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee FF&E procurement and contract administration.
• Coordinate with hotel operations to minimise disruption during live trading.
• Support acquisition due diligence, feasibility studies and early‑stage planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering hotel refurbishment and capital projects in the UK or Europe.
• Track record of managing projects within operational hotels.
• Strong construction and project‑management expertise, preferably client‑side, consultancy or contractor‑side.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and large capital budgets.
• Excellent commercial, contractual and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Professional qualifications such as MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM are advantageous but not essential.
