Senior Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of technology‑driven projects supporting AJ Bell’s strategic objectives. You will work closely with portfolio sponsors to prioritise, plan and deliver initiatives from entry to go‑live and post‑implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage delivery of a portfolio of technology projects and oversee initiatives led by other Project Managers and SMEs.
• Prioritise project selection, provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced Project Managers.
• Deliver complex IT projects, often collaborating with third‑party suppliers to implement hybrid solutions.
• Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Produce and monitor resource forecasts, budgets and follow change control procedures.
• Report regularly on portfolio and project health to sponsors and senior stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, dependencies and ensure compliance with regulatory and consumer duty requirements.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge from a technology background with ability to grasp technical topics quickly.
• Experience delivering IT change within a financially regulated environment is an advantage.
• Proven ability to produce Business Cases, Project Initiation Documents and other project artefacts.

Required skills

• PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent).
• Agile and SDLC development methodologies.
