Senior Project Manager (MEP)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (MEP) to lead a major Defence project in the East Midlands. The role is site‑based in Cranwell, Lincolnshire with occasional visits to our Rushden office. You will manage the internal MEP business, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project strategy and delivery plans, managing teams to achieve safe, on‑time, high‑quality outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and supply‑chain partners, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction.
• Manage project finances, revenue, costs and cash‑flow, taking proactive action to prevent losses and maximise profitability.
• Oversee design management, ensuring information is provided according to procurement strategy and programme requirements.
• Create an inclusive workplace that values wellbeing, diversity and collaboration.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience managing construction MEP projects with strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• Professional qualification or progress towards membership of a recognised body (e.g., CIOB, RICS).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships at all levels.
• Passion for health, safety and wellbeing, holding CSCS and SMSTS certifications.
• Interest in sustainable building practices and innovative construction methods.
• Experience on large‑scale Defence or public‑sector projects is advantageous.
