Senior Project Manager – MiFID II Order Execution Programme

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the EU & UK MiFID II Order Execution policy change programme for a Tier 1 investment bank. The role will drive the end‑to‑end delivery of this regulatory transformation, ensuring the new requirements are embedded across business, technology and governance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the MiFID II Order Execution policy change programme.
• Own project governance – develop plans, manage RAID, produce reporting and stakeholder updates.
• Translate regulatory interpretation into a Business‑as‑Usual hand‑over.
• Coordinate activities across Front Office, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Technology teams.
• Oversee documentation, controls, reporting and process enhancements.
• Ensure alignment with internal PMO standards and frameworks.
• Manage Business Analysts and support technology implementation where required.

Required profile

• Extensive project/programme management experience in investment banking or capital markets.
• Deep knowledge of MiFID II, particularly Order Execution, gained within a Tier 1 bank.
• Proven track record of delivering regulatory change programmes from inception to completion.
• Experience working with Front Office, Market/Credit Risk and Compliance functions.
• Strong stakeholder management and senior‑level communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of project‑management methodologies and tools.

What we offer

• Daily rate of £500‑£580 (inside IR35).
• Hybrid working model – three days on‑site in London.
• Fixed‑term contract initially until year‑end.
