Senior Project Manager - NPD & Engineering

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will spearhead complex projects throughout the entire New Product Design (NPD) lifecycle. You will be responsible for driving high-complexity initiatives by ensuring strict adherence to JFS delivery processes, guiding multidisciplinary global teams toward excellence and total stakeholder satisfaction.

Main Missions

• Lead and deliver end-to-end projects in accordance with JFS governance frameworks.
• Direct cross-functional global teams to ensure delivery within scope, budget, and deadlines.
• Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and resource allocation.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical and production risks and opportunities.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders through effective communication.
• Oversee contractual obligations and manage the formal change control process.
• Drive continuous improvement by capturing and implementing lessons learned.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects from design to launch (NPD).
• Strong background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Adaptable leader with the ability to align diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with senior management.
• Ability to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance is mandatory.

Required Skills

• Advanced Project Management (Certification required, e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Expertise in Risk Management and Financial Control.
• Knowledge of maritime and defense industry standards.
• Proficiency in international quality and safety requirements.
• Strategic planning (Timeline, Budget, Resource management).

Work Environment

• Hybrid working model based in Inchinnan (Glasgow).
• Occasional national and international travel required.
