Senior Project Manager – People Change & Transformation

About the role

This six‑month contract with a leading media organisation offers a senior‑level opportunity to drive a people‑change programme. You will work closely with the COO, Editing Chief and other senior leaders to design and deliver new processes, policies, training and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Build trust and engage with senior leaders, unions and employees through effective stakeholder management.
• Facilitate consultation processes, gather feedback and integrate it into programme design.
• Deliver policy updates, process improvements, training materials and technology roll‑outs.
• Support the Programme Director as a trusted advisor and operational lead.
• Champion change‑management practices with clear communication and training initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale people‑change programmes, preferably within media or similar environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including union consultation and employee relations.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and adaptability under tight deadlines.
• Hands‑on approach with expertise in change‑management and consultation processes.
• Familiarity with editorial workflows or freelance engagement models is a plus.
