Senior Project Payroll Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Payroll Consultant to join a prestigious City of London organisation on a four‑month temporary assignment. The role will be hybrid, based in London, and will focus on reviewing and redesigning the company’s end‑to‑end payroll operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the current payroll operating model across processes, governance, systems, service delivery, controls and stakeholder accountabilities.
• Identify strengths, weaknesses, risks and pain points and assess whether the model is fit for future needs.
• Develop realistic future‑state options and recommend the most efficient and resilient operating model.
• Produce a practical implementation roadmap for any recommended changes.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, commercially‑sensible manner.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in global payroll operating model review and redesign.
• Background working with outsourced payroll environments and international organisations.
• Strong judgement on governance, controls, service quality and risk.
• Proven track record of payroll transformation projects and HR systems knowledge.
• Experience in provider selection or transition and ability to deliver both strategy and execution.
