Senior Property Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Property Surveyor to lead regional property services across a large and diverse housing portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering repairs, voids, adaptations and compliance programmes efficiently, safely and cost‑effectively while balancing customer outcomes with commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of surveyors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee delivery of responsive repairs, voids, planned maintenance, adaptations and compliance activities.
• Manage multi‑million‑pound contractor partnerships, driving performance, quality and value for money.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex technical issues, major incidents and housing emergencies.
• Analyse operational data and customer feedback to identify trends and improve service delivery.
• Support asset management and investment planning to shape future property strategies.
• Build strong relationships with residents, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven track record in social housing, property maintenance or asset management.
• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience managing property maintenance, repairs, voids and compliance programmes.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience managing contractor relationships and substantial service budgets.

What we offer

• Salary up to £57,000 per annum
