Senior Property Underwriter – Direct & Facultative

About the role

We are partnering with a leading Lloyd's syndicate to recruit a Senior Underwriter for its Property Direct & Facultative (D&F) team in London. You will manage a diverse portfolio of US and international commercial property risks, working closely with top London market brokers on both new business and renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite a broad range of complex commercial property risks across primary and excess layers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with leading London market brokers.
• Drive profitable portfolio growth through strategic new business and renewal management.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy, broker development, and portfolio performance analysis.

Required profile

• Proven property underwriting experience within the Lloyd's or London market.
• Hands‑on experience with Direct & Facultative property risks in the US, International markets, or both.
• Strong technical underwriting capability and sound commercial judgement.
• Confident decision‑maker with excellent broker relationship skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a high‑performing team.
