Senior Python Developer – Market Surveillance & Regulatory Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a senior Python developer to design and build a market surveillance and regulatory reporting platform for a leading quantitative hedge fund in London. The role involves creating new systems from the ground up, handling large data volumes, and ensuring strict compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a scalable market surveillance platform.
• Design and implement robust data validation and regulatory reporting pipelines.
• Build RPA automation solutions to streamline compliance processes.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders and compliance teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience as a Python developer.
• Background in financial services, preferably within a hedge fund, asset manager or investment bank.
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory reporting, market surveillance or compliance.
