Senior Quality Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join our busy manufacturing operation in Buckinghamshire. You will lead detailed inspection activities, support the inspection team and help maintain the highest quality standards across production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform first‑off, in‑process and final inspections on components and assemblies.
• Guide and support members of the inspection team as required.
• Conduct Level 2 dye‑penetrant NDT on parts and finished assemblies.
• Produce First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) when needed.
• Program and operate CMM and Faro Arm measurement equipment.
• Review engineering drawings and geometric tolerances to verify compliance.
• Investigate non‑conformances, record findings and assist with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
• Inspect incoming supplier components and internally manufactured parts.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments and occasionally support customer‑related quality queries.

Required profile

• Solid experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Level 2 certification in Dye Penetrant Testing (NDT).
• Practical experience operating CMM and Faro Arm equipment.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
• Experience creating or supporting First Article Inspection Reports.
• Proficiency with a range of manual inspection tools and measurement equipment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills across production, engineering and quality teams.
