Senior Quality Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

This senior leadership position gives you full ownership of the quality function within a growing manufacturing business. You will shape systems, drive standards and embed lasting processes across the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing ISO 9001 compliance.
• Drive root‑cause investigations and guarantee effective closure of corrective actions.
• Manage supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards and corrective‑action programmes.
• Establish quality controls for Goods Inwards, Production, Final Inspection and Dispatch.
• Run the internal audit programme and act as primary contact for external certification audits.
• Provide leadership for Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems, including ISO 14001 compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior quality management experience in manufacturing, engineering or a technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS, audit processes and CAPA.
• Experience overseeing supplier quality and driving supply‑chain accountability.
• Familiarity with regulated manufacturing where traceability and formal change control are essential.
• Lead Auditor qualification preferred; NEBOSH or equivalent health‑and‑safety certification desirable.
