Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Property

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a large CAPEX rollout for a well‑known UK retailer. You will act as a strategic commercial partner, providing oversight across multiple projects and ensuring value, cost control and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Analysts.
• Oversee cost planning, budgeting and commercial governance across programmes.
• Manage procurement strategy, supplier performance and commercial compliance.
• Own programme‑level reporting and provide insight to senior stakeholders.
• Partner with Project Managers, construction, finance and supply‑chain leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and frameworks.

Required profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost management within facilities management or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
