Senior Quantity Surveyor – Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading global engineering and project management consultancy in Glasgow. You will be responsible for the commercial management of major infrastructure and engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cost plans and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
• Administer contracts, including preparation, issuance and management of NEC contract documents.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks.
• Prepare and review interim and final accounts, variations and payment applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide commercial advice to project managers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably at senior level.
• Background in infrastructure, engineering or construction projects.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Chartered status (MRICS) or working towards it is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of NEC contract forms.
• Advanced cost planning and cost management capabilities.
• Excellent commercial acumen and risk management.
