Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

United Utilities is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Commercial team in Warrington. The role will manage high‑value, strategically important contracts that support the company’s transformation and water delivery mission across the North West.

Key responsibilities

• Provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of complex contracts.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to align commercial strategy with business needs.
• Ensure contractual compliance and proactively manage consultant and contractor performance.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on commercial and contractual matters.
• Manage competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
• Escalate issues and support the Commercial Manager and Managing QS.
• Identify, mitigate and manage commercial and business risks.
• Produce and maintain accurate commercial and contractual data.
• Lead contract administration activities.

Required profile

• Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a construction background.
• Commercially sharp with the ability to influence major programmes.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors.
