Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis for a specialist M&E contractor in Surrey. The role sits within the commercial organisation, supporting bid and commercial activities across the New Installation business and client executive accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a member of the Head of Commercial and Procurement senior management team and serve as a business partner to drive sustainable, high‑quality results.
• Manage pre‑award commercial duties including reviewing client contracts, preparing tender documentation and developing risk‑mitigation solutions.
• Lead negotiations and execute agreements related to bonds, warranties and insurances, maintaining accurate contract files and correspondence.
• Support bid activities, develop work‑winning strategies, and ensure tender programmes reflect full resourcing and pricing.

Required profile

• Proven track record in operational and commercial management within building construction or maintenance.
• BSc or equivalent in a relevant field; recognised Quantity Surveying qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ senior‑level experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing abilities with excellent time‑management and analytical skills.
