Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

An established property and construction consultancy in Elmbridge is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead a diverse portfolio of projects across Surrey and the South East. You will manage schemes from feasibility and cost planning through procurement, construction and final account, acting as a key commercial liaison for clients and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility estimates, cost plans and detailed project budgets.
• Produce tender documentation and advise on procurement strategy.
• Manage valuations, variations, change control and cost reporting.
• Negotiate final accounts and resolve commercial matters.
• Attend client, design team and site meetings.
• Build strong relationships with clients, architects and consultants.
• Oversee a varied portfolio across commercial, hospitality, leisure, retail and residential projects.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Strong UK cost consultancy experience, MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
• Proven ability to manage projects independently through pre‑ and post‑contract stages.
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts and procurement routes.
• Excellent commercial judgement and client‑facing communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple commissions while maintaining high service standards.
