Senior Quantity Surveyor – MEP & Construction

About the role

NG Bailey is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Glasgow team. You will drive commercial excellence on medium to large MEP and construction projects, ensuring profitability and financial performance while upholding the company’s safety‑first culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and maximise project profitability through effective cost control and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Review and interpret contract terms, identify risks, and manage change orders.
• Lead and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and Assistants.
• Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and margin analyses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate procurement, subcontractor management, and final account settlement.
• Support dispute resolution and ensure comprehensive record‑keeping.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of medium to large MEP or construction projects.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and a relevant BSc/degree, or willingness to work towards one.
• Ability to obtain security clearance for project work.
