Senior Quantity Surveyor – £10m+ Refurbishment

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of a flagship £10m+ cut‑and‑carve refurbishment in Central London. You will lead the financial and procurement aspects of a complex structural renovation, working closely with the Commercial Director and the client’s PQS.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the commercial lifecycle from procurement through to final account.
• Take full financial control of the £10m+ scheme, driving profitability.
• Lead procurement of major packages such as demolition, structural steel, piling and MEP.
• Identify, value and negotiate variations, extensions of time and change instructions.
• Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasts and liability statements.
• Oversee subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, pay‑less notices and final accounts.
• Act as the primary commercial contact for the client’s PQS, ensuring transparent communication.

Required profile

• Proven senior Quantity Surveying experience on complex refurbishment or cut‑and‑carve projects.
• Strong understanding of structural steel, façade retention and deep‑basement works.
• Demonstrated ability to manage variations and commercial risk in existing building fabric.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
