Senior Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading affordable housing provider in Leeds. You will be responsible for the commercial oversight of planned works and responsive repair contracts across the organisation's social housing portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of planned and responsive maintenance contracts for social housing.
• Prepare and maintain budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
• Undertake valuations, variations, and final account agreements.
• Monitor cost performance and report on value for money.
• Procure and manage subcontractors and supply‑chain partners.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely, on‑budget project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within social housing, focusing on planned works or responsive repairs.
• Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and procurement.
• Experience managing subcontractors and supply‑chain relationships.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
