Senior Recruitment Consultant – Construction (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join Morgan Hunt's Construction team in Edinburgh. You will focus on recruiting for the private‑sector construction market, working within a hybrid model that combines office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage a robust candidate pool through targeted advertising, LinkedIn outreach and professional networks.
• Monitor job boards, source referrals and maintain an up‑to‑date candidate database.
• Ensure full administrative compliance and deliver high‑standard candidate care from initial contact through placement.
• Drive new business by making cold sales calls, promoting the Morgan Hunt brand and prioritising opportunities.
• Develop and nurture client relationships to secure repeat business and expand the construction desk.

Required profile

• Proven background in construction recruitment, including experience with site managers, property & surveying or trades & labour.
• Strong research abilities and a desire to become an expert in the construction sector.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Team‑player mentality with a willingness to exceed expectations.
• Sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
