Senior Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a growing real‑estate investment and fund consultancy to hire a technically strong Senior Reporting Accountant for their London finance team. The role offers broad, high‑impact responsibilities across statutory reporting, technical accounting, financial controls and process improvement, with significant autonomy and exposure to complex real‑estate and fund structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead review of statutory financial statements for UK and offshore entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, FRS 102 and Jersey GAAP.
• Coordinate external audits, manage information requests and resolve technical queries.
• Review accounting policies, disclosures and judgments, including investment‑property valuations, lease accounting and inter‑company transactions.
• Own the ISAE 3402 assurance programme, coordinating stakeholders, reviewing control findings and overseeing remediation.
• Act as internal technical accounting specialist, preparing technical papers and supporting documentation for audit sign‑off.
• Monitor changes to financial reporting standards and assess business impact.
• Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, development activity, debt restructurings and new entity onboarding.
• Review quarterly management accounts and investor reporting for accuracy and consistency.
• Contribute to finance transformation and process‑improvement projects, focusing on controls, data quality and reporting efficiency.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new finance systems and reporting tools.
• Deliver technical training and mentor ACA/ACCA trainees.

Required profile

• ACA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong audit background, preferably from a Big Four or top‑tier accountancy firm.
• Experience with complex real‑estate and fund structures.
