Senior Researcher / Junior Portfolio Manager - Systematic Equities

About the role

Join a leading UK equity fund management house as a Senior Researcher / Junior Portfolio Manager within its systematic equities team. You will help bridge fundamental stock‑picking with quantitative tools to drive high‑conviction global equity strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead research projects to improve valuation, business quality and risk assessment across global equities.
• Analyse company financial data together with broader market datasets to generate stock‑level insights.
• Translate research findings into enhanced stock‑selection signals and portfolio construction methods.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to refine investment approaches and respond to market changes.
• Present clear, well‑reasoned conclusions and contribute to a collaborative idea‑generation culture.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in equity markets, preferably in asset management or a systematic/quantamental environment.
• Strong understanding of fundamental company analysis and equity valuation frameworks.
• Passion for stock‑picking combined with comfort working with data, models and quantitative tools.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team‑oriented research setting.
