Senior Reserving Actuary (Remote)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK insurer to recruit a Senior Reserving Actuary. The role provides broad exposure to personal lines products and offers the chance to influence reserving insight, process improvement and strategic decisions across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver core elements of the quarterly reserving cycle across multiple product lines.
• Review, challenge and validate reserve outputs to support robust decision‑making.
• Develop and enhance monitoring tools, incorporating claims insights on emerging trends.
• Drive continuous improvement of reserving models, processes and reporting.
• Support Solvency II, UK Technical Provisions and IFRS 17 reserving outputs.
• Build strong relationships with Finance, Claims, Risk and senior committees, presenting findings clearly.
• Mentor and support the development of junior actuaries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in reserving for personal lines insurance.
• Strong stakeholder interaction across Finance, Claims, Risk and senior leadership.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to transformation initiatives.
• Senior‑level analytical mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality insights.
