Senior Residential Carer (Bank) – Kettering

About the role

As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at Barchester Healthcare, you will support residents in a care home, delivering person‑centred care while covering shifts as needed. The role combines hands‑on care with leadership of the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise care staff on shift, including training and delegating duties.
• Administer and order medication, ensuring accurate records.
• Review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate care.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming environment that respects each resident’s dignity and preferences.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership abilities and sound decision‑making.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualized resident support.
