Senior Residential Carer – Day Shift

About the role

This is a day‑shift, 38.5‑hour per week position as a Senior Residential Carer in a Barchester care home. You will support residents by delivering person‑centred care while leading a team of care staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and supervise care staff on each shift.
• Delegate duties and ensure safe delivery of care.
• Administer and order medication, and maintain accurate records.
• Review, update and monitor resident care plans and risk assessments.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and families to coordinate care.
• Promote a warm, welcoming and dignified environment for all residents.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Previous experience in a residential care setting.
• Proven team‑leadership and decision‑making abilities.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to individualised resident support.
