Senior Residential Development Solicitor – Reading

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a Senior Residential Development Solicitor to join its nationally recognised Residential Development team in Reading. You will work on complex land transactions for leading UK housebuilders, supporting large‑scale residential projects across England and Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on large‑scale residential land acquisitions and disposals.
• Draft and negotiate collaboration, joint‑venture and partnership agreements.
• Handle disposals of serviced land parcels to housing associations and developers.
• Provide legal counsel on funding arrangements, strategic land options and urban regeneration schemes.
• Collaborate closely with internal planning, construction and litigation specialists.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in real‑estate law, preferably residential or commercial development.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships.
• Strong interest in land acquisition and development.
• Ambition to progress towards partnership.

Required skills

• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of residential land acquisition processes.
• Understanding of funding and joint‑venture structures.
