Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

About the role
This position provides high‑quality, child‑centred care in a solo residential home. The Senior Residential Support Worker leads shifts, promotes positive outcomes for children, and ensures the home complies with regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Build trusting, therapeutic relationships with each child and create a safe, nurturing environment.
- Implement and monitor care plans, risk assessments, behaviour support plans and placement objectives.
- Lead shifts, mentor residential support staff, and support inductions, supervision and ongoing development.
- Safeguard children, respond to disclosures and incidents, and maintain accurate records.
- Act as the child’s Key Worker, coordinating support plans and liaising with social workers, educators, health professionals and families.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience in residential children’s care.
- Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, safeguarding legislation and Ofsted standards.
- Ability to lead a team, mentor staff and manage shift schedules.
- Excellent communication skills for multi‑agency collaboration.

What we offer
- Starting salary of £31,720 per annum.
- Additional sleep‑in payment and on‑call allowances where relevant.
- Full‑time, 40‑hour week with a supportive team environment.
