Senior Restructuring & Insolvency Litigation Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a senior restructuring and insolvency litigation lawyer to join a leading boutique law firm in Bermuda. The successful candidate will work at counsel or junior‑partner level, leading high‑value disputes and helping to grow the firm’s dispute resolution practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex restructuring and insolvency litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Provide strategic advice to corporate clients on cross‑border disputes and commercial challenges.
• Represent clients in court and arbitral proceedings, handling high‑value claims.
• Develop and expand the firm’s practice by attracting new business and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Collaborate with partners to shape the firm’s long‑term growth strategy.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contentious litigation and restructuring/insolvency matters.
• Strong court advocacy skills with a track record of handling high‑value disputes.
• Proven ability to manage matters independently and advise clients through complex commercial situations.
• Experience with cross‑border and international disputes, preferably in an offshore jurisdiction such as Bermuda, Cayman, Jersey, Guernsey or BVI.
• Commercial mindset, excellent client relationship skills and a genuine interest in mentoring junior colleagues.
