Senior Revenue Controller

About the role

The Senior Revenue Controller will own the full working‑capital cycle for assigned partners and practice groups within a leading law firm. Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will manage WIP, AR, billing and revenue processes end‑to‑end while supporting junior team members and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and lead monthly partner meetings to review WIP and AR, set billing timelines and resolve collection issues.
• Prepare inventory reports and statistical analyses for fee‑earners.
• Conduct weekly matter set‑up reviews, ensuring correct configuration before billing.
• Validate prospective time entries and process time adjustments, transfers, edits and write‑offs.
• Handle high‑volume billing enquiries, liaise with attorneys and process invoices in compliance with VAT, SRA and AML requirements.
• Manage e‑bills, resolve rejections or disputes, and chase outstanding payments to support cash collection.
• Assist cashiers with cash‑receipt reconciliation and oversee the work of junior revenue team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in revenue control within a law‑firm environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work directly with partners.
• Proactive, customer‑focused attitude with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvements.
