Senior Sanctions Analyst

About the role

The Senior Sanctions Analyst will support the firm’s financial crime framework, focusing on sanctions compliance within a leading multinational insurance brokerage operating in the Lloyd's market. You will work closely with brokers to provide advisory services on new and existing business, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sanctions screening and investigations across the marine insurance portfolio.
• Provide timely sanctions guidance to business units and brokers.
• Support and enhance financial crime controls and the overall sanctions framework.
• Monitor and interpret UK, EU, US (OFAC) and UN sanctions regimes.
• Collaborate with compliance, legal and risk teams to ensure regulatory alignment.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of sanctions regimes and financial crime risks in the insurance sector.
• Experience with Lloyd's and London market regulatory environment.
• Knowledge of UK, EU, US (OFAC) and UN sanctions, as well as relevant UK legislation (e.g., Sanctions and AML Act 2018, FCA requirements, Money Laundering Regulations, Proceeds of Crime Act, Criminal Finances Act, Bribery Act).
• Ability to deliver clear guidance and investigative findings to internal stakeholders.
