Senior Security Engineer – AI Products & Platforms

About the role

Citi’s Application, Platform and Engineering team is building the next generation of AI‑driven products at bank‑wide scale. As a Senior Security Engineer you will embed security into AI platforms from day one, protect cutting‑edge models, and help shape the bank’s secure AI strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver production‑grade AI platforms with security built in from the outset.
• Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability research and attack simulations to harden AI services.
• Create automated security tools and frameworks that scale across rapid development cycles.
• Identify and mitigate LLM‑specific risks such as prompt‑injection and model‑exfiltration attacks.
• Lead “shift‑left” security initiatives, integrating security checks early in the development pipeline.
• Collaborate with engineers through pair‑programming and code reviews to embed security best practices.
