Senior Sensor Build Technician

About the role

As a Senior Sensor Build Technician you will support the delivery of high‑quality electronic products, performing assembly, soldering, inspection and manufacturing activities in line with customer, regulatory and company standards. You will work closely with production planning and quality teams to ensure traceability, efficiency and compliance within a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support production planning and resource forecasting, assisting the Team Leader with workload prioritisation.
• Carry out product build, assembly, inspection and related manufacturing activities according to approved procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate manufacturing records to ensure full product traceability and compliance.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives within an ISO 9001 certified quality management system.

Required profile

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Experience in electronics assembly within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in hand soldering to IPC Class 3 standards and knowledge of IPC‑J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610 and IPC‑7711/7721.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure.
• Competent IT and PC skills for accurate production and traceability records.
